Celebrating International Waffle day!
Sleeping, eating and just enjoying life.

Tomato Soup

We've had some great spring weather the past few weeks but today it was overcast and windy.  So we enjoyed a yummy lunch of Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese.  Here's the recipe...
1/2 red onion diced
2 garlic cloves chopped
2 cans chicken broth
1 can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
fresh parmesan cheese
-sauté onions & garlic, add broth, tomatoes & sauce, boil, add cream, simmer for 15 minutes.  garnish with basil & cheese

Horton hears a who!

I took Stella to the movies yesterday and she loved it.  We saw Horton Hears a Who.  She really enjoyed the movie and popcorn.  Now we just need to figure out how to get Isaac to go?

Prague, Czech Republic

We decided to take advantage of the free babysitting grandma & grandpa could provide and choose Prague, Czech Republic to explore.  It was great to spend time with Drew and explore a new country in Europe.

Prague is so quaint.  We loved the architecture, the food, and the time together.  We stayed in a really cool old 14th Century Home.  It is in the center of Old Town Square and everything was within a 2 mile circle.  We walked everywhere and enjoyed the atmosphere and history.    We had heard about the Don Giovanni Marionette Opera and decided in order to make it a "true Prague experience" we had to see it.  It was interesting.  The puppeteers were talented but a little too strange for me.  The next night we saw Goldilocks, a children's ballet.  The theatre was amazing and the ballet a lot of fun.  We also saw the Castle, Charles Bridge, The Loreto and Wenceslas Square.  On the final day we went to an American movie.  It was a great trip but I think we're ready to get back to the States and enjoy America.

And you thought gas prices are high in the US.

Prague, Czech Republic

Wow!  I'm so excited.  Tomorrow morning Drew and I leave for Prague.  It will be really nice to have some time together and to enjoy more of Europe.  I'm sure the kids will miss us but not too much.  Thanks grandma & grandpa for watching them!!!  We love you!!!

My parents are visiting so I have a good reason not to be blogging.
