Happy Birthday Isaac!!!!!

Happy Birthday Isaac! I'm so in love with you. I love being your mom. Seeing you grow up. I love to catch you teaching Stella something new. I love seeing you smile. I love your questions. I love how you are really starting to figure things out. I love how you think every parking spot is a "rock star" spot. I love how you adore being an older brother. I love reading new books with you and seeing you light up. I love how you can be so polite. I love your testimony of Christ and your understanding of eternal families. I love how you think. I love that you love math. I'm so proud of you. I can't believe you turn 5 today. Happy Birthday buddy!

Home Sweet Home

I think we have a good excuse: we didn't have internet because we just moved into our new house! We're loving it, except that we're really just camping out until our stuff gets here from Spain. At least the air shipment came on Saturday which had Joaquin's crib (which is awesome, because now he just wakes us up at 5:00 a.m. instead of at 1:30, 3:00, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:00) and some bedding for us. The rest of us are sleeping on air mattresses, which is in fact an upgrade from the lousy mattress we were on in the temporary housing where we were staying. We bought new towels and a pot and a pan at wal-mart, and the old owners left their dishes so we have enough stuff to shower, make food and eat it. It's really all you could ask for.
And more, considering the old owners also left their cool projection t.v., which unfortunately, only really works at night because it's too bright during the day. But I'm not complaining, because now that we got cable, phone and internet installed, I can watch t.v. or browse the web on a big screen on my wall (the projector is hooked up to a mac mini, also thrown in by the old owners). We're all enjoying our new house so much, we can't imagine what the place will be like with furniture. In the meantime, our awesome new neighbors are giving us a chair and a loveseat to sit on while we wait for our boat shipment to come. I hope that isn't too long. The moving company said the boat was scheduled to arrive today, but it would take 10-12 business days to clear customs. We've lived four weeks without most of our stuff, I supposed we can get along a little longer.

I started work again last week. I'm rotating through a different practice group than what I've been doing the past two years. Normally, our new associates try out three different practice areas for six months each before settling into a specialty, but since I was pretty much specialized from the start and didn't get that experience, I'm getting it now. It is a little weird starting all over again and feeling I don't know anything. But it's also nice to have a bit of change of pace.

We're really enjoying our new ward. It's nice doing church in English. They didn't waste any time in putting us to work. Our second week here I was called as a counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency. I'm sure they have something big in the works for Eryka. Well, I better wrap this up and get ready for work. I just wanted to say we're happy to be back, and looking forward to seeing more of family now that we're in the country again.

We LOVE America!!!

I'm sorry. I really have planned on posting but its so much easier to turn on the tv or talk to Drew or sleep. So here's the low down...
WE LOVE AMERICA.
The flight over was smooth. What can I say? My kids are great travelers.
The first meal was Ihop. We all loved it and have been back many times since.
The house is almost ours. We close on Friday the 11th. Yep, we are stoked.
We bought a car, Mazda CX9. I love that it seats 7 but wish it had better gas mileage.
We joined the pool. Love it! Isaac is really getting excited and starting to try and swim on his own. Stella has no fear and loves it too. J is just happy to splash around. Mom loves getting a tan and seeing friends. Dad has enjoyed realxing by the side.
We all love the cereal selection along with everything else.
We went into the city last week and loved it.
Spent the 4th of July with friends.
Overall, we LOVE everything.
Life is very good.
