UGH!

I just got home from a doctor's appointment and I'm worried. The baby is fine. But I've gained 6 kilos. In english that means I've gained 13 pounds. I'm 24 weeks and 5 days. Is that a lot? My doctor made it sound like I've gained an enormous amount of weight. Have I? I've never had this problem with pregnancy. The doctor is always telling me I need to gain more. I'm so confused. Why is everything in Europe so weird? I just looked up an american website and I think my weight gain is normal. What do you think? I don't think I'm changing my diet. What does the doctor know anyways?

Hey Eryka! It was so good to see your comment! I can't believe you live in Spain. Congrats on your pregnancy, that is amazing you are going to have another baby. It's hard enough with the one, but we are looking forward to having more. Hope you are doing well and I'm glad I have your website so I can see your family!

That is totally normal! You're supposed to gain 25-35 during the whole pregnancy and you've only got 14 weeks left to gain at least 12 more pounds. Don't you hate it when doctors make you worry over things that you shouldn't worry about?

Did you gain 13 since your last appointment, or is that overall? Either way, like Laura said, you are totally fine. My doctor last week was worried because I hadn't gained any weight since my last appointment (he told me to eat some milk shakes), I think they just like to make us stress out.

You are doing awesome with only 25. I have gained at least 50 with both my girls. Don't worry about it! You look awesome.

Erica I'm sure you are fine - you are going to gain weight based on what that little guy needs - I wouldn't let it get to you :)
