I have a few good reasons why I've been such a blogging slacker.
#1. I have a newborn baby! Ok, he's officially a month old but that just means he's getting bigger and wants to eat more. Which takes more time but I love him. He's doing great. Growing fast and starting to smile. I haven't caught this on camera yet but hopefully soon.
#2. I'm taking a spanish class. I have no clue what I was thinking when I signed up for this. I started when J was 11 days old. The class is Monday thru Thursday 10:00 - 11:00am. This doesn't sound very early but when you've only had about 5 hours of interrupted sleep (on a good night) It can be really early. Oh yeah, I have to leave the house at 8:30 because of reason #3.
#3. Isaac started school! He's loving it. Today he told me his teacher was perfect. I love that he loves to learn. He's growing up so fast! For the next month his school is from 9-1pm. That means a lot of running around.
#4. I've been obsessed with a couple new books. I'm a total dork because its teenage fiction but I love it! I've finished all three books within a few days. That's really good since I'm totally sleep deprived. If you need a good fast read I'd suggest the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer. I can't wait for the next one to come out.
#5. I have a super cute yet emotional little 2 year old girl. She's obsessed with anything to do with a princess. It's really cute. She tells me the Cinderella story everyday at least 10 times. She's also becoming quite the little spanish speaker.
#6. I flew to NY and back within 3 days. Totally crazy and fun but next time I hope the trip is a little longer. That's a really long flight. Btw, Joaquin did an awesome job!
#7. I want to see my husband at least for a few minutes everyday so I stay up instead of going to sleep early. I don't mind this one. I love him to death!
#8. Did I mention I'm tired.
#9. I'd rather read everybody else blogs than write something.
#10. I have to much to blog about but get distracted really easy so I write silly lists.
I'm loving life right now. I can't believe how blessed I am. I'm so thankful for my family and friends. Thanks so much! Now I have to go feed J and figure out what to make for dinner for everyone else.

Life is good
Wow! Life is nonstop. We've had a lot going on. Dad went back to work, Mom started taking Spanish classes, Isaac started school, Stella is always nonstop and Joaquin is getting ready for his first international flight. His passport came!!
That's our life in a nutshell. Tomorrow I'm off to New York with Joaquin. But here are a few pictures from the last few days.

Stella riding the merry go round.

Joaquin's passport.
I'm flying to New York on Thursday!!! I'm so excited. I can't wait to go shopping, eat some yummy american food, play in a city I love and speak english! If anyone wants to get together let me know. I'd love to see you.
It will be a really quick trip. After months of waiting, they have finally approved my visa. Of course this happened right after I had Joaquin. I have 30 days from when I was notified to report to the Spanish Consulate in New York. I feel great but would love to have Joaquin come with. (Since I am nursing and it would be kind of uncomfortable without him) The problem is he needs a passport. We've applied but we don't know if it will come in time. Keep your fingers crossed. Otherwise Drew will have all 3 kids for the weekend. He's an awesome Dad but 3 kids - one of which thinks he needs to eat every 2 hours in the middle of the night can be a little hard.

Today is Joaquin's due date...
I'm so thankful Joaquin was born early! I can't imagine still being pregnant. Or the thought of how much he's grown in the past 3 weeks and having that come out instead of my little guy. I'm so glad I have small babies.
He's doing great. He's still a really happy baby that just likes to sleep and eat. When he is awake he's happy being held or just chillin. He's even happy being tortured by his older sister. She loves to play dolls and pretend to be his mommy.

Sloppy Joe's
I have a million things I want to blog about but with a new baby that wants to eat nonstop at night I just don't have much free time. As soon as the kids are in bed I am too.
But I just had to blog about this. Isaac ate all his dinner!!! This is a huge thing. Isaac has always been a picky eater. So tonight I wasn't expecting much but he gladly scooped up a big portion and started in. He ate his whole plate and with his fork. After dinner I told him I was so proud of him and thanks for eating. His reply, "Denada, Mom."
On a funny note. When I was a kid I refused to eat onions. I could always spot them. It didn't matter how big or small my mom would chop them. I always found them and picked them out. Tonight I had a glimpse of how I was as a kid. After Isaac took his first bite he asked what was crunchy. He's not an onion fan either. I told him he could pick them out if he didn't like them. He gladly picked them out and said when he grows up he wants to eat them but not tonight. I'll take what I can get.
More to come, eventually!
