What a fun day!

We had a really fun day today. I wasn't expecting such a good day since Stella woke up at 4:30am and didn't want to go back to sleep. Finally around 6:30 Stella fell asleep and Isaac woke up and I had to convince him it was to early so he went back down. We all woke up at 8ish to start the day. I was still tired but there was no way I was going to convince everyone it was still the middle of the night. After getting ready we met up with a friend and went for a little adventure.

We planned on taking the Teleferico to the zoo but we changed plans midway through when we found out the zoo was a 30 minute walk. Anyways, the teleferico or cable cars were a huge hit with the kids. They loved going up higher than the trees and seeing the sights. They especially loved passing other cars and waving to the passengers. After going one way we took a break and found a park to play in. After a few hours we decided to take the teleferico back and check out the rose gardens. They smelt great. The kids loved smelling all the flowers and picking up the fallen petals. After Isaac broke off a rose we decided we better leave before anyone noticed.

On the way out of the park we saw a Häagen-Dazs across the street and decided to get some yummy ice cream to top our day off. I love how excited the kids get when we go out for ice cream. They know its a real treat!
So even though we miss Dad he can always count on us having a good time trying to make the time go by faster before we can see him again. (He's traveling for work again. First Barcelona and then London.) Hopefully he's having as much fun as we are. Isaac thinks he went to Barcelona to go to he beach and maybe catch another boat. If only he knew.

(Sorry our camera is still broken so no pictures of us. Hopefully we can get a new one soon)

UGH!

I just got home from a doctor's appointment and I'm worried. The baby is fine. But I've gained 6 kilos. In english that means I've gained 13 pounds. I'm 24 weeks and 5 days. Is that a lot? My doctor made it sound like I've gained an enormous amount of weight. Have I? I've never had this problem with pregnancy. The doctor is always telling me I need to gain more. I'm so confused. Why is everything in Europe so weird? I just looked up an american website and I think my weight gain is normal. What do you think? I don't think I'm changing my diet. What does the doctor know anyways?

The best family vacation ever

We just got back from an awesome family vacation. Yes, I know I've been on vacation for the past 2 months but this time it was with Drew! Any time with Drew is like a vacation but this one was real. A few months ago we decided to book a Mediteranean Cruise for the whole family. We love cruising but we were a little nervous about taking the kids (Isaac gets carsick after half a block) and what would we do about the long "fancy restaurant" dinners? But we now know our kids are incredible vacationers and are up for anything. I love them! No seasickness, no complaining about long dinners, no problems at all. It was amazing.

So this is a short version of each day. Sorry after the first day our camera broke. We had to use a disposable camera and now have to wait and get the film developed. It's been a while - I really love digital photography!

Monday morning at 3:30am our trip started. We had an early flight but very short. The kids slept through it and as you can see slept for a while after we arrived in Barcelona.

They were exhausted. After they finally woke up we went to the Barcelona Aquarium.

They loved it! Stella especially loved the peguins. She was so cute covering her mouth in shock and enjoyment! Isaac's favorite was the sting rays. It was a great way to start the trip and get some wiggles out.

Around lunch time we decided to check out the boat. The kids were so excited. After a quick lifeboat safety drill we ventured to the kids club and the pool.

We knew immediately that we would be spending a lot of time here. And that was just fine with us. A playground, a kiddie wading pool and a place to lay out sounds perfect to me!

That night we realied our kids would be just fine with the "fancy restaurant." Isaac loved getting a menu and Stella thought the glass goblets were great. We had an awesome waiter and assistant waiter that took care of our every wish. This is a lot since we are Americans and have the pickiest kids ever.

The next day was Villefrance, France. So pretty. We didn't do much research on France so we did some fun window shopping and enjoyed some yummy french food. They make the best crepes! After getting a few fun things we decided that the pool was missing us. So we went back to play on the boat.

I have to go but I'll be back later with the rest of the trip!

Now we just need a name.

We had an ultrasound today!! The kids have been really excited about this baby so we brought them along to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. They thought it was really cool seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat. And Isaac was really excited that he was right about having a BOY! He would have been right either way since he thought we were having twins. There's just one baby and he's a boy. We're all very excited. I'll post the ultrasound pictures later. Any ideas for boy names?

Really cool stuff is being given away

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to let you know about a friend's blog and all her giveaways. Design Mom is having a bunch of giveaways just for Mom's this week. So check it out!

Jet Lag

Wow! We're finally starting to recover from a serious case of jet lag. A 9 hour time difference is hard to adjust to. The kids finally slept most of the night. Unfortunately, I slept with Stella and Drew slept with Isaac. Hopefully by next week we'll have everything worked out. Wish us luck!

But now for a real update! Our trip to the US was so fun and relaxing. It's just what I needed. The only problem was missing daddy and oh boy did we miss daddy. It's so nice to be back together.

Here's a short recap of the trip.

First was a short visit in Las Vegas. Enough time to adjust to the time change and eat at Cafe Rio before driving over to Blanding. I really wish Blanding had a real airport. It would make life easier. Anyways, Once in Blanding we played with cousins, met Grandpa Worthy's fish and enjoyed Grandma Gail's spoiling.
I then took my first trip to NYC to meet up with Drew. He was sworn in for the bar and stuff. So he's a real lawyer now. It took about 15 minutes or 3 years of undergrad, 3 years of law school, a huge student loan and a little studying but its official now. Drew Glover is a lawyer! Congratulations babe!! I'm so proud of you. In NY we also enjoyed a lot of our favorite food and a little time together. Drew had to work most of the time but I tried my hardest to convince him that works not that important. I was somewhat successful.

After spending time with Drew I was back in Utah. The kids had a ton of fun with Grandma, Grandpa and all of their cousins. I don't even know if they noticed I was gone. The following week went by fast. On Tuesday Drew spontaneously bought tickets to come and see us for Easter. It was the best Easter surprise ever even though it was short. Thursday we drove up to SLC to pick Daddy and Grandma up from the airport. Friday morning we drove down to Blanding, Drew went golfing, we ran some errands, attempted to have family pictures taken and then had a baby shower for Kd. Saturday was another packed day with Drew getting in another round of golf, having an Easter Egg hunt with cousins and a yummy BBQ with family, then another trip up to the airport to drop Drew off. It was a ton of fun having Drew come to visit.

From SLC we drove down to St. George. There we spent time with Granny Sharleen and Grandpa Ray. We had another Easter Egg hunt and a great picnic at the park.

After a short drive we were in Las Vegas. Here Isaac finally learned how to ride a bike! They also enjoyed wearing Grandma Karen and Grandpa Victor out while enjoying just about every park they could find. We had a blast.

And I made another trip to NYC. This time to try and become legal in Spain. Yes, I know we've been there for 8 months but we still don't have a visa. So this trip was payed for by Davis Polk. They thankfully put us up in a really nice NYC hotel and paid for all our food and transportation. I was able to see a little more of Drew too. After doctor's visits and trips back and forth all over the city Drew was finally able to get his passport stamped with a visa. So we're halfway legal. I go back with the kids sometime in the near future.

After another trip across the country I was back in Vegas for a few days before we headed off to California. I was a little reluctant to make the trip but I'm so glad we did. The kids absolutely loved Sea World. Stella walks around the house saying"shamu gets Isaac wet" or "dolphins" they loved feeding the sea lions and dolphins. It was really nice of Grandma & Grandpa to take us to CA. Thanks so much! I loved it so much I think we could move there one day. We'll see.

We also stopped at the beach to hang out with some old friends from Law school. It was great visiting and watching the kids play at the beach! Thanks Kelli & Ann.

Our last couple of days we spent visiting with family. It was such a fun trip. Thanks to everyone for playing with us, helping with the kids, letting us stay at your house, transporting us to one place or another and everything else. We really appreciate it!!!
