Prague, Czech Republic

We decided to take advantage of the free babysitting grandma & grandpa could provide and choose Prague, Czech Republic to explore.  It was great to spend time with Drew and explore a new country in Europe.

Prague is so quaint.  We loved the architecture, the food, and the time together.  We stayed in a really cool old 14th Century Home.  It is in the center of Old Town Square and everything was within a 2 mile circle.  We walked everywhere and enjoyed the atmosphere and history.    We had heard about the Don Giovanni Marionette Opera and decided in order to make it a "true Prague experience" we had to see it.  It was interesting.  The puppeteers were talented but a little too strange for me.  The next night we saw Goldilocks, a children's ballet.  The theatre was amazing and the ballet a lot of fun.  We also saw the Castle, Charles Bridge, The Loreto and Wenceslas Square.  On the final day we went to an American movie.  It was a great trip but I think we're ready to get back to the States and enjoy America.

And you thought gas prices are high in the US.

That looks beautiful. I have heard that Prague is like the Paris of Eastern Europe. You guys have the coolest vacations. (We are also looking forward to your return to the U.S.)

Is that price for a litre? If so, how can anyone afford to drive?

That top picture of Prague almost looks like it's animated by the same people who did Horton hears a Who. Very beautiful.

Looks like a old town bet it was really interesting to see. Glad you were able to go over while your folks could babysit for you. Sounds like they really enjoyed their trip to Madrid.

We look forward to seeing you this summer. I hope Eryka and the kids can make it out, even if Drew can't. Sorry we never got to see you in Spain.
