Isaac and Stella were playing outside and I was busy cleaning when I walked in on Joaquin. He had climbed up on Stella's bed and started looking at a pile of books. He would open the books and start telling himself a little story. He was so cute. He was so happy just sitting and looking at books. So I sat and read to him for a while. He cuddled right in and listened. I'm so glad I took the time to just be with him and have a few minutes of bonding.
I feel like I don't spend enough time reading to him or playing one on one with him. Being the oldest you really get spoiled. You get so much extra time. I hope I can help each of my kids feel loved and like they are special. I love each of them so much and feel so blessed that they are part of our family.

I know what you mean. I am home alone now with Olivia, so I have more time with her. But I know I did better about a lot of little things with my older kids when they were younger. Now, I jusst need to do my best to include everyone. Afternoons doing homework here can get pretty crazy. It's good that you got to enjoy this moment today.
What a special time for Joaquin. The more children, the more you have to spread your time and love. I remember when David (Travis) was little, you and Marc went off to Grandma's house for a few days. David was home with me alone. This was a special time for David and I, we bonded closer during that time. He had no one to share his mommy with for a few days. I think all our children need that kind of time. Reading is another way to spend with your children, you loved to be read to all the time. I regret i didn't read as much to your brother, as I did you. But I enjoyed every moment I did read to you. Keep on reading to those little ones, they will love it.
That was a great story. Thanks by the way, for the awesome outfit for Gavin. We hope to put him in it and take a picture so you can see how cute it looks on him.
Uh...when did Joaquin stop being a newborn?? Wow. Time flies. Cute story!
What a sweet moment - thanks for sharing. All I can say is continue to make as many wonderful memories with each child as you can!
