I'm thankful for my washing machine, dryer, microwave, refrigerator and all my other working appliances. But not my oven. Our oven has been out for about 2 months maybe even longer. We ordered the part we needed but it was on backorder and while we were waiting the main oven part broke as well. So we have an oven that is really just an extra large clock. I like having a clock in my kitchen I just wish it had more than one function. Hopefully we can order a new oven and have it installed before Christmas.

Today I'm thankful for store bought pies, rolls and whatever else you are supposed to cook in your oven. I found out late last night that our oven will not be fixed by Thanksgiving. How do you host thanksgiving without an oven? Let me tell you. First, you find a friend that is going out of town and you use her oven to cook your turkey. (thanks for going out of town!) Then you buy your pies at the store. Thankfully Costco makes really good pies. You then ask your neighbor when she will be done and you beg. This wasn't to hard so we will be able to cook rolls and sweet potatoes in an oven. I'm so excited for this food! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

oh eryka. i can commiserate. that oven is a pain in the you-know-what. i hope it's fixed now!!! you've gotta do your holiday baking. and you need to bring those baked goods over to my house so i can eat some.
at least it's not your boiler. mine has been acting up since we bought this house. ugh!!! better to have no oven than no heat, eh?
I'm sorry that you're oven is on the fritz. That has to be difficult. I hope that other then that you guys are well love you.

You're funny! No announcements unless you consider 4 miscarriages an announcement! Hopefully though before med school we can make some kind of announcement! Pray for us! :) Work has been the cause of all the miscarriages so the MD's are taking me out of that environment for awhile to try to get/stay pregnant.
