I took Stella & Isaac to Disney on Ice a couple weeks ago.  They both LOVED it.  I totally forgot to blog about it but I had to share this picture!  Stella was in awe.  She's such a cutie.

Happy President's Day!

In honor of America and all of our great American President's we learned a few things about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We also made Abe Lincoln hats.

We've been in Spain for a year and a half and haven't seen much of Spain. Basically just Madrid and Barcelona. So today we decided to make a day trip to Toledo, the old capital of Spain. It was just 30 minutes by train and provided many beautiful sites just perfect for capturing our photogenic family. We hope to make a few more day/weekend trips in the four months we have left here so we're fully exposed to the beauty of Spain. Hope you enjoy our pictures! We think we got some good ones.

Isaac spent the time waiting for our train home playing with his new Spanish knight. (Excuse the blur - Drew is still trying to figure out some of the finer aspects of our new camera)

Predicament

Isaac learned this word a few weeks ago and loves to use it.  Anyways, my predicament is baby food.  Its time for Joaquin to start eating it but the choices in Spain are scary.  Does anyone have a baby food recipe book they recommend?  Do they even exist?   

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's day with kids is so much fun.  Last night we made cookies for Isaac to take to school.  Big hit!  He loved bringing cookies to everyone.  Especially Michelle, his crush.  I bought some flowers for Stella and she loved them.  She was so excited when I told her they were for her.  We got a package in the mail from Grandma & Grandpa Martinez.  Thanks so much!  They loved everything.  We made a fancy dinner but unfortunately, we didn't love it.  But most of all we loved spending time together!  Hopefully Daddy loved his day at work.  We missed you but LOVE you tons! 

Just a few of my favorite things...

-The smell of freshly bathed kids in pj's

-Stella's hugs before she goes to sleep.

-Quiet time with Joaquin after the other two are down for the night. 

-Joaquin's smiles.

- Quiet time by myself after all the kids are asleep.

-Reading a book on the sofa while I wait for Drew to come home.  

Sick day

For some reason I keep getting sick.  Ugh.  But my kids have been really funny today.  I might just be delusional though.

Stella spun in circles and twirled around 32 times before crashing hard into a pile of pillows.  She got right back up and started spinning some more. 

I kept Isaac home from school to help entertain Stella.  He has been saying the funniest things...

-when he can't remember if a word is English or Spanish he says "Mom, it's French."  

-we were talking about the size of our family and that we probably won't have any more little babies he said, "Maybe we could just send Joaquin back and get a new little baby."  

I love how my little guys think.  

Drew came home for lunch and took a couple cute pictures of the kids.

I guess I forgot to mention what I got for my birthday.  Drew bought me a new digital SLR.  It's a Nikon D40.  I'm so excited.  Thanks so much Drew!!!

I decided to let Joaquin try some yummy baby food today.  I guess I have to start sometime.  So he had some rice cereal made with apple juice.  I think he liked it.  

I love my birthday present

So I know it's not my birthday for a few more days but Drew forced me to open my present.  He really did.  But I totally love it.  I'm so excited to learn all about it and use it tons!!!   So is Drew.  While I was working on a church lesson Drew took a few pictures of Joaquin.  They turned out great.  I hope you enjoy...Isaac wanted in on the action.
